The Commission for Energy Regulation (CER) has appointed the RGII as the Gas Safety Supervisory Body (GSSB).\u00a0The company called the Register of Gas Installers of Ireland (RGII) (a wholly owned subsidiary of RECI) a company limited by guarantee, has been formed with the sole purpose of operating as the GSSB on behalf of the Commission for Energy Regulation (CER) and is now solely\u00a0responsible for registering gas installers in Ireland.<\/p>\n

OFTEC operates a Registration scheme, which enables identification of those Technicians\u00a0who have proved that they have the skill to ensure safe and efficient installation and operation of their plant and delivery of their fuel to the highest standards. Registration \u00a0is awarded in two parts, Individual and Business. Only current Technicians and current\u00a0Companies covered by both Individual and Business Registration can use the OFTEC\u00a0Approved Logo on their publicity materials and vehicles, and describe themselves as\u00a0OFTEC Registered.<\/p>\n
